Two weeks have already gone by! It's been an interesting adventure so far, full of bumbling Arabic conversations, taking the wrong bus 3 times, lots of baclava and shwarmas, new friends, and already some unforgettable experiences.
I started Arabic class today, and it was great! All of my studying seems to have paid off- I got to jump in at Level 2, so I'm at least sort of putting sentences together. The weird thing is that Sunday here is a normal work day, so classes began this morning instead of on Monday.
Did I mention yet how good the food is here? I'm *loving* all the hummus, shwarmas, pita bread, falafels, and BACLAVA! There are also an interesting variety of chips here, my favorite so far being ketchup. And sorry Canada, they're way better here.
